Getting a Film Look for Standard and HDV Video

Film look tips

Making your Standard Video look like Film or 24P Using Nattress Filters and Wide Screen Matte Streaming Video Instruction nattress
Are you one of those filmmakers trapped between wanting to make your Video look like Film, but don't want to spend Five Thousand Dollars on a camera?

There is another answer besides buying the New Panasonic HDX-200 and the Cannon Camera. You can shoot in Standard DV Format with a 4:3 Screen Ratio ( a standard square box) and later use two things to convert it into 24p Film Look.

  1. Nattress Filter set ($99 download from www.Nattress.com)
  2. Wide Screen Matte Effect from Final Cut Pro
  3. Watch Nattress Video Demo made by DVworkshops, Click here and compare for yourself.

Nattress is a great plug in for Final Cut Pro. What is a Plug in? Simple....You buy the software...download it into your computer...and follow the simple instructions..and instantly the Film Look controls appear in the EFFECTS BIN inside your Final Cut Pro BROWSER.

Nattress is easy to use..you just drag the film look and Gamma Controls onto your clips in the Time Line...then adjust the amount of each effect until it looks good to you.....Nattress works on many Formats including DV and HDV. Remember to always double check the COLOR on a real NTSC DV OR HD Monitor. Color appears differently on a Computer screen then a TV Set.
